A One of a kind Friendship

Today I'll tell you about a wonderful kind of friendship I was fortunate enough to witness. In a world where friends are so caught up in life to talk to each other and the best way to keep friends closer is with silence I met Mr S and his friend on a warm Wednesday Evening. You see Mr S is Visually Challenged.I was volunteering to help him out with his study material and he came at the mentioned time to my office gate to collect the audio content. He came with a guide friend and was waiting near the escalator at the office. It was not hard to spot these friends. They were busy chatting and laughing and giggling! What a sight for me to see who was already having a rough day at work dealing with friendships falling apart and memories fading away.

It was not too long before I engaged myself in a conversation with S and his friend to know more about their friendship. Turns out, both of them are studying the same course in the same college are classmates. This friend takes S to all the places and both of them study together. Both of them were all praise for each others skills and studying talents.  I felt happy seeing the way they both complemented each other. I soon handed over the audio content and said my Good Bye's and was almost on my way back to the office where I stopped for a minute to see if they both left. This was where I found the KODAK moment. Mr S and his friend were climbing a freight of stairs. Usually, the visually challenged person is the one to hold someones hand while climbing stairs. This was something different altogether. It was his friend who put his arms around Mr S and allowed him to lead the way on the stairs. At that very instant I realized how strong friendship can be. This friend trusted a visually challenged Mr S to lead the way and S was as usual happy to do so knowing that if he was taking a wrong step his friend was always there to correct him.

The right kind of friendship is maybe in the exact same way. Being luxurious enough to be trusted by our friends completed and being sure that they are there for us in case we take any wrong turns. Correct me if I'm wrong with my analogy!
