The Last Week

Image
So Last Week I went to a Horticulture Show and brought a few beautiful Flower plants for a steal deal price. I also went to doughnut house and ate some amazing lip smacking items. So YUM and delicious. Just the thought of it makes my mouth water !! And also one more food picture. This was my breakfast one morning. What could this be? South Indian Lemon Rice--> NAH! This is Uggani! A rare delicacy made of puffed rice. Remember how I posted pictures of flowers at office? Look how big and beautiful they became! :) That's all for folks. .'

The week that went zooming by

Image
Hello there Amigos. Time to sit on my writing couch and get my hands blogging. Jan 27 Today was a wonderful day for the record. I did nothing magical or blah but it was really good for no apparent reason. My day started with 'Happy' By Pharell Williams and before i forget to mention, I  was standing in the bus all the way from my home to office- Thanks to my amazing office transport department that stopped responding to my mails. Frankly I stopped bothering about it anymore. The art of positivism taught me, standing in the moving bus that runs at the speed of Cycle and traverses 25 kilometers is good for losing half a gram of my precious weight! And for the photo of the day.. Look what my mail brought in!! Yahoo! Hakuna Matata.! Bazinga!..and all those words to express insane serendipity! I'm not trying to brag but I finally starting doing something I've always wanted to do- Sponsor a child's growth. If you want to do that as well, what are you waiting ...

A Photo A Day New Year Resolution

Image
One of my new year resolutions of 2015 was to capture one photo each day for the rest of the year. I wanted these pictures to be like memoirs that might help me recollect how I'm passing the days of my life. Frankly, I think my life is like I'm floating like yellow plastic duck in huge ocean and I'm on big tides every now and then but because I'm made of plastic every time I' m drowning i come right back up and blah blah.. lets leave that to another blog post altogether. For now here are a few click's I've managed to get over the last 18 days.Fingers crossed, I'm planning to make it a weekly post and then probably upgrade to posting them daily. Jan 1st: A Salt Sand Painted Donald welcomes me into the New Year. Jan 2nd: I was waiting at a Bus Stop and it was stinking like a billion bags of trash. I took a picture of that smelly bus stop in an attempt to write to the Govt guys to fix it up.  Jan 3rd: I went to meet a good f...

My Travel Guide to a Splendid Sunday in Bangalore

Image
On a lazy Friday while I was browsing the internet I happened to stumble across a TED talk from an Inspiring girl which gave me the push I need to get ready for a 'Single Female Traveler' #SFT Sorta Journey.  I grabbed my travel guide which I purchased many many months back and took out the Bangalore map and started marking the places to explore. For those of you who want to start exploring Bangalore, There is a guide I'd like to recommend- 'Get to know Bengaluru better'. I think it is published by someone called CitizensMatters.in. I find the book very handy to pull out random pages and get all the information I need to plan my short trips. Here is a quick shot of how the book looks:   OK OK.I admit. Only the top left picture is the actual click of the book. Rest 2 other photos you see above is a result of my creativity combined with boredom.  Getting back to what I was saying, I randomly browsed a few pages of the book to decide on how to spend my S...

We are given two hands to hold

Image
This is the story of a poor man from a small village in India.                                             When he was young he was lucky enough to find himself a wife. Finding a wife is different in this part of the county.Unlike you yourself searching for a partner..your parents find the match for you and you settle with them,who-what-why, no questions asked. With an unknown person beside him for the rest of his life, they ventured on this journey of life. 'POVERTY BEGETS POVERTY' . The poor man found it even more hard to make a living for an extra person in his family whom he now calls wife. With hardly the 10 or 20 rupees he made per day they were able to keep their stomachs full with less food and more water. No food to eat. No clothes to wear.No blankets ...

Liking the like

Image
Life is funny...LIKE is even more funny...(humour me!) Usually,You like something and you don't know why you like what you like.. once you know why you like what you like you start to dislike the thing that you already liked and start liking the things that you didn't like because you feel the need to know why you didn't like what you didn't like.  If liking THINGS sound so complicated..think how complicated it would be liking PEOPLE You like who you like without knowing why you like who you like. But then..the whoever you like..likes another whoever..who in turn likes another whoever who likes the first person whom I talked about when I started taking about the people liking part. A great man once said....and I quote "A LIFE WITHOUT LIKE IS A SUNLESS GARDEN WHEN THE FLOWERS ARE DEAD " LIKE/DISLIKE is like a pattern that keeps repeating itself with people and things... It is all vicious ...

Baking Butter Cookies

Image
This was indeed a Saturday well spent.  I didn't really do anything productive but watching the Cooking with Charlie video over and over and over again finally inspired me to do something myself, and there I was...with flour and baking power sprinkled all over my face trying to make a complete mess of my kitchen. After several minutes of searching, I finally was successful enough in finding the exact thing I wanted to make. What better way to cook than to bake perfectly crisp butter cookies. Credits to this person/page  for giving me the perfect recipe to make butter cookies. This was how it was supposed to look And this was how it actually ended up looking Pretty well done for a first timer Don't you think! If you are equally bored as I am and have a fancy for cooking, I totally suggest you try them out at your kitchen too.  Bye for now! “Happiness: a good bank account, a goo...
